    Oman Medical Specialty Board meets to approve policies

    Under the chairmanship of Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, the CEO of Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB), the Executive Board of the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) held its 2nd meeting for 2022 today. The meeting approved some policies to be followed for advanced medical education and discussed a number of topics pertaining to the International Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME-1) as well as other topics.

    Oman Medical Specialty Board meets to approve policiesThe meeting also endorsed minutes of the 1st meeting of the OMSB Executive Council in 2022. It also reviewed the standards of various training programmes and centres. By establishing a Medical Simulation Center (MSC), Oman’s postgraduate medical training board aims to achieve excellence in medical education, research, and patient care. The Center combines the latest medical simulation technologies with high-risk specialties in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Surgical Specialties.
